Creamy Banana Milkshake

Gather these before you touch your blender.

  • 2 large ripe bananas (the spottier the skin, the sweeter the shake) – Must be frozen

  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold whole milk – Sub: oat milk, almond milk, or 2%

  • ½ cup (120 g) plain Greek yogurt – This is the “creamy” secret. Sub: vanilla yogurt or ¼ cup heavy cream

  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional, but life-changing)

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional – taste your banana first; you likely won’t need it)

For garnish (optional but pretty):

  • Whipped cream

  • Banana slice on the rim

  • Cinnamon dusting


Equipment Needed

  • High-speed blender (or a regular blender with an ice-crushing setting)

  • Sharp knife + cutting board

  • Baking sheet (for freezing bananas)

  • 2 tall glasses
