Add the ground beef and chopped onions. Cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking the meat into small crumbles as it browns.

Drain excess grease if necessary to prevent soggy egg rolls.

Step 2: Season the Filling

Lower the heat to medium and add:

  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce

Stir thoroughly and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and flavorful.

Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly before assembling.

Step 3: Add Cheese and Pickles

Once the beef mixture has cooled slightly, stir in:

  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Diced pickles (optional)

Mix until the cheese starts to melt slightly into the warm beef mixture. This helps bind the filling together.

Step 4: Assemble the Egg Rolls

Lay one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.

Place about 2–3 tablespoons of filling in the center.

Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the side corners. Roll tightly toward the top corner.

Seal the edge with a bit of water to keep it closed.

Repeat until all filling is used.

Step 5: Prepare for Air Frying

Lightly spray each egg roll with cooking spray or brush with oil. This helps achieve a golden, crispy texture.

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
