To make these wonderful rolls you will need to gather the following items from your kitchen or the store.

  • 5 large russet potatoes which should be about 1 kilogram in weight

  • 500 grams of lean ground beef or ground lamb or ground chicken

  • 1 large yellow onion finely chopped into small pieces

  • 3 cloves of fresh garlic minced very fine

  • 1 large egg to help bind the potato dough together

  • 100 grams of all purpose flour for the dough consistency

  • 50 grams of cornstarch to make the outside extra crispy

  • 1 teaspoon of fine sea salt for the potato mash

  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper for the meat filling

  • 1 teaspoon of paprika for a smoky flavor and nice color

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil for sautéing the meat

  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs if you choose to coat the rolls before frying

  • Vegetable oil for frying as much as needed for your pan

  • A handful of fresh parsley chopped for garnish and flavor
