Prepare three shallow bowls:
-

-
Bowl 3: Mix breadcrumbs with Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.

-
Dip each stick into the flour, shaking off excess.
-
Next, dip into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off.
-
Then coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly so it adheres.
-
Double dip for best results: repeat the egg and breadcrumb step again for a thicker crust.
Place the fully coated sticks back onto the baking sheet.
Step 4: Freeze (Do Not Skip This!)
-
Freeze the breaded sticks for at least 1 hour, ideally 2 hours.
-
This step prevents the cheese from melting too quickly while frying.
Step 5: Cook the Mozzarella Sticks
Fried Method (Restaurant-style)
-
Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pot or skillet to 175°C (350°F).
-
Fry a few mozzarella sticks at a time for 1½ to 2 minutes, turning once, until golden brown.
-
Drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
Air Fryer Method (Healthier)
-
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
-
Lightly spray the mozzarella sticks with oil.
-
Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through until crispy.
Baked Method (Less oil, still crunchy)
-
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
-
Place sticks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
-
Spray generously with cooking oil.
-
Bake for 9–11 minutes, flipping once.
