Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies (Brookies) Recipe

Here are all the ingredients with clear quantities. This recipe makes about 12 to 16 squares.

For the brownie layer

1 cup unsalted butter melted
1 and half cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Half teaspoon salt
Half teaspoon baking powder

For the cookie layer

Half cup unsalted butter softened
Half cup brown sugar
Quarter cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 and one fourth cups all purpose flour
Half teaspoon baking soda
Quarter teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
