2–3 cups cooked shredded chicken
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella, or mix)
1–2 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper (to taste)
1 pack Hawaiian rolls (12-count)
Optional topping:
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 tsp garlic powder or Italian seasoning
Prepare the filling
In a large bowl, combine:
Shredded chicken
Mayonnaise
Shredded cheese
Garlic powder
Parsley/green onions
Mix until creamy and well combined.
Season with salt and pepper.
Prepare the rolls
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (keep them connected).
Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
Assemble
Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer.
Place the top half of the rolls back on.
Add topping
Brush melted butter over the tops.
Sprinkle with garlic powder or seasoning.
Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 5–10 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
Serve
Slice into individual sliders.
Serve warm (great with chips or a side salad).
