Ingredients
- 8 cups water
- 8 black tea bags
- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- Ice, for serving
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of the water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and stir in the sugar and baking soda until dissolved.
- Blend the strawberries until smooth. Strain if you want a smoother tea.
- In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree and brewed tea.
- Add the remaining 4 cups cold water and stir well.
- Chill for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice with fresh strawberry slices or lemon wedges.
