Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Bake
A flaky, cheesy, savory breakfast or dinner bake that comes together in minutes! Crescent rolls are layered with a creamy sausage and cheddar filling, then baked until golden and puffy.
Ingredients:
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 roll (1 lb) breakfast sausage
1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the breakfast sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully cooked. Drain off all excess grease thoroughly.
3. Reduce heat to low. Add the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheeses are melted and combined with the sausage into a thick, creamy filling.
4. Unroll one can of crescent dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Press the seams together to form one solid bottom crust.
5. Spread the warm sausage mixture evenly over the bottom crust.
6. Unroll the second can of crescent dough over the top, pressing the seams together to seal. Pinch the edges to close.
7. Bake for 18-22 minutes until the top crust is golden brown and flaky.
8. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
