2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
3 celery stalks, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 cups dry red wine
3 cups beef broth
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
4 sprigs fresh thyme
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
