  1. First you need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit so it is nice and hot by the time your cookie dough is ready to go inside.

  2. Take a large baking sheet and line it with a piece of parchment paper or a silicone baking mat so the cookies do not stick to the surface.

  3. Peel your two ripe bananas and place them into a large mixing bowl then use a sturdy fork or a potato masher to crush them.

  4. Keep mashing the bananas until they turn into a smooth liquid consistency with as few lumps as possible because this acts as the glue for your cookies.

  5. Measure out your half cup of natural nut butter and add it into the bowl with the mashed bananas then stir them together until they are fully combined.

  6. Pour in your one cup of oats and use a big spoon to fold everything together until every single oat is coated in the banana and nut butter mixture.

  7. Let the dough sit for about five minutes because this allows the oats to soak up some of the moisture which makes the cookies hold together much better.

  8. Use a tablespoon or a small cookie scoop to drop rounded mounds of the dough onto your prepared baking sheet.

  9. These cookies do not spread out or grow while they bake so you should use the back of a spoon to gently press them down into a flat cookie shape.

  10. Place the baking sheet in the center rack of your oven and bake them for about twelve to fifteen minutes or until the edges look slightly brown.

  11. Remove the tray from the oven and let the cookies sit on the hot pan for at least five minutes to firm up before you try to move them.

  12. Transfer the cookies to a wire cooling rack to cool completely or enjoy one while it is still warm and gooey for a real treat.
