Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Casserole
All the cheesy, meaty goodness of a Philly cheesesteak—without the bread! This casserole is a fantastic way to enjoy those classic flavors while keeping it low carb. My kids love the melty cheese and tender beef, and I love how easy it is to throw together during a busy weeknight!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
4 oz cream cheese

salt, pepper, garlic powder
Optional add-ins:
sliced mushrooms, hot peppers
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. If using sliced steak, sear it until just cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
3. Add the sliced green bell pepper and onion to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
4. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and combined. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
5. Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
6. Top with shredded cheese and any optional add-ins like mushrooms or hot peppers.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
