Start by cleaning the thrifted bundt pans thoroughly to remove any dirt or grease.
If desired, spray paint the bundt pans in bright, mushroom-like colors such as red, yellow, or blue. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Use sandpaper to smooth any rough edges on the broom handles, especially if they have been cut to size.
Apply outdoor adhesive or strong epoxy glue to the center of the bottom side of the bundt pan.
Carefully attach the bundt pan to the top of the broom handle, pressing firmly to ensure a strong bond. Allow the glue to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Once the glue is set, spray a clear outdoor sealant over the entire piece to protect it from the elements.
Place your finished garden mushrooms in your backyard, pushing the broom handle into the soil to secure them upright.
Variations & Tips
For a more natural look, leave the bundt pans unpainted, allowing their metallic finish to reflect the sunlight. Alternatively, use glow-in-the-dark spray paint for an enchanting nighttime effect. You could also experiment with different heights by cutting the broom handles at various lengths, creating a dynamic, layered look. For added detail, consider attaching smaller decorative elements like beads or stones to the tops of the mushrooms.
