Hot Cherry Pepper & Steak Philly Bake
This dish is a game changer for busy weeknight dinners! It’s a hearty and flavorful bake that combines the zest of hot cherry peppers with tender steak, all enveloped in a creamy cottage cheese blend. The kids love the melty provolone on top, and I appreciate how quickly it comes together.
Ingredients:
1 lb beef steak strips (seared on high heat)
1 cup cottage cheese (blended)
1/4 cup hot cherry peppers (blotted and diced small)
1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
1 onion (sautéed dry)
Instructions:
1. High-heat sear the beef steak strips for about 60 seconds, then drain all the juices to keep it from getting soggy.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the seared steak, sautéed onions, and diced hot cherry peppers with the blended cottage cheese. Stir until well mixed.
3. Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish.
4. Top with shredded provolone cheese, ensuring it covers the steak mixture.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
