Crispy Sourdough Cheesy Breadsticks – A Perfect Snack or Appetizer!
Ingredients (serves 4-6):
2 cups sourdough starter (active and bubbly)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried Italian herbs
1/2 tsp salt
Olive oil for brushing
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Make the Dough
In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian herbs, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Step 3: Shape the Breadsticks
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough into strips to form breadsticks.
Step 4: Bake the Breadsticks
Place the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Step 5: Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your crispy sourdough cheesy breadsticks with marinara sauce or your favorite dip!
