Crispy Air Fryer Cheese Bread Roll

Start by trimming the edges from all bread slices. Removing the crust helps make the bread easier to roll and seal properly.

Using a rolling pin, flatten each bread slice gently until thin and smooth. This step is important because flattened bread rolls more easily without breaking.

Set the prepared bread slices aside.

Step 2: Make the Cheese Filling

In a medium mixing bowl, combine:

  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Chili flakes
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Fresh coriander or parsley

Mix everything well until evenly combined.

The mozzarella creates the gooey melt, while cheddar adds a rich sharp flavor. The herbs and spices enhance the overall taste and aroma.

Step 3: Prepare the Flour Slurry

In a small bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and water together until smooth.

This slurry acts like glue and helps seal the bread rolls tightly so the cheese does not leak during air frying.

Step 4: Fill and Roll the Bread

Take one flattened bread slice and place about 1 to 2 tablespoons of cheese filling near one edge.

Do not overfill, or the cheese may spill out while cooking.

Carefully roll the bread tightly into a cylindrical shape. Apply a little flour slurry along the edges to seal the roll completely.

Repeat the process with the remaining bread slices.

Step 5: Brush with Butter

Lightly brush each bread roll with melted butter. This helps create a golden crispy texture in the air fryer.

You can also lightly spray the rolls with cooking oil if preferred.

Step 6: Air Fry the Bread Rolls

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.

Arrange the bread rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Leave a little space between each roll for even air circulation.

Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, turning halfway through cooking for even browning.

The rolls should become golden brown, crispy, and perfectly crunchy outside while remaining soft and cheesy inside.
