Caramelized Onion Galette with Whipped Feta and Thyme Honey
Ingredients
For the Galette
1 sheet pie dough or puff pastry
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
Β½ tsp salt
ΒΌ tsp black pepper
For the Whipped Feta
1 cup (200 g) feta cheese
ΒΌ cup (60 g) Greek yogurt
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Thyme Honey
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp fresh thyme
Garnish
Extra thyme
Directions
Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions, salt, and black pepper.
Cook for 15β20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deeply caramelized.
Roll out dough and place on a baking sheet.
Spread caramelized onions in the center, leaving edges free.
Fold edges over slightly to form a rustic crust.
Bake for 25β30 minutes until golden.
Blend feta, Greek yogurt, and olive oil until smooth.
Mix honey with thyme.
Serve galette topped with whipped feta and drizzle with thyme honey.
Garnish with extra thyme and serve warm.
