Creamy Parmesan Potato Casserole
This casserole is a family favorite in our home—a warm, cheesy hug on a chilly evening. The kids love the creamy potatoes, and I adore how simple it is to prepare. It’s perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
2. In a saucepan, heat the cream, milk, and minced garlic until warm—do not boil.
3. Layer the sliced potatoes in the dish, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper.
4. Pour some of the cream mixture over each layer and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream and Parmesan.
6. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
9. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
