2 cups water
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir to coat the grains with the oil and garlic.
Stir in the ground turmeric and salt, ensuring the rice is evenly coated with the vibrant spice.

Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let it simmer for 15-18 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes to allow the rice to steam.
