Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Stir until well blended.
Fold in the chocolate chips, if using, to add an extra layer of chocolatey goodness.
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Variations & Tips
For a nutty twist, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter. If you’re a fan of mint, try adding a teaspoon of peppermint extract for a refreshing flavor. For a more indulgent treat, drizzle melted chocolate or caramel over the cooled muffins. You can also experiment with different types of chocolate chips, such as white chocolate or butterscotch, to create unique flavor combinations.
